  From Pedigrees of Charlemagne's Descendants: Hrotrud as born in 775. More fortunate than her sister, she lived until 6 June 810. When she was only six years old she was betrothed to the Byzantine Emperor Constantine VI, aged eleven, but for some reason the marriage alliance was repudiated by her father in 787. Later she married Count Rorico of Maine and had a child, Louis, who became abbot of the royal monastery of St. Denis.
